Why hospital classes are not the best to attend... Welcome mamas to our new blog!
Today I am writing about hospital birthing classes. Why do you want NOT attend a hospital childbirth class? 1. The hospital class mostly teaches epidural. You are going to find that the hospital is going to be pro-intervention esp. epidurals and if you are really wanting to go 100% natural childbirth - this is not the best place to get information. 2. The hospital may only focus on one area of natural childbirth if they cover anything - it will probably be breathing focused. Not that there's anything wrong with learning breathing (hey, we teach that too) - we know there are other techniques you can learn. 3. The hospital may also focus on the "greatness" of inductions. They won't teach you about the "Bishop score" and other things that show if your body is actually capable and ready for one. 4. The hospital is not going to teach you about rebozo shawl and how to use it - we teach you that in our VIP Labor Strategies modules. You can learn Level A and B from us if you choose to upgrade your childbirth class. (Also, this class is available as stand alone for a little bit more if not taking our CBE class.) 5. Hospitals do not have much time - your class will probably be an hour or two long. That is not enough time to learn everything there is about childbirth!
